This is it. My FIRST blog. My mom is the one who suggested that I try it…and I think she is a wise lady.
As the few potential readers of this thing may already know…I am engaged. In other words I am hopelessly “twitterpated”, easily giggly, wide-eyed…and borderline overwhelmed. *It is important to note here that when I say overwhelmed, I do not say it with negative connotation.* Overwhelmed is a good thing; after all, I have just made the biggest and most exciting decision of my life. The decision: saying yes to a life of marriage, love, and devotion to Kyle Joseph Bassett until death do us part (...Mmmmm…I like that sentence).
It goes without saying that A LOT goes into planning a wedding! But five months ago when my dainty second finger from the left was still naked, I would have responded to that statement with a simple and naive “Oh, I bet!” …and now I know.
I hereby declare in all seriousness by the power invested in me as a future bride-to-be: A LOT goes into planning a wedding.
The journey toward the upcoming “I do” has been full and exciting so far, and the ‘to-do’ list continues to grow.…THAT is where this blog comes in. :) I want to use it to document this journey: the plans, the crafts, the decisions, the milestones, the countdown, and of course the emotions and feelings involved. It is my hope that this blog will help me stay on top of my to-do list and cherish each moment of this once-in-a-lifetime process.
These next seven months are going to fly by… (The Big Day is December 31st), and I hope you enjoy the ride just as much as I intend to.
